DHCP Vendor Class and Vendor Name Update

Windows-Based Devices

Microsoft has updated its Vendor Class and Vendor Name for Windows-based devices. This is a change from the previous behavior, which used to be simply MSFT 50. Some devices will now show up as MSFT 50.

Vendor Class Identifier

The Vendor Class Identifier (VCI) in the DHCP request for Windows-based devices is now WEB MSFT 5 0.

Client Vendor Name

The Client Vendor Name has been updated for some Windows-based devices. This value was previously MSFT 50, but some devices will now show up as MSFT 50.

Android Devices

The VCI for Android devices is dhcpcd-5 5 6.
