Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first. They were off to a poor start, losing three wickets in the first 10 overs. However, Afif Hossain (38) and Mushfiqur Rahim (26) steadied the innings with a 50-run partnership. Bangladesh were eventually bowled out for 144 in 49.4 overs.

Netherlands were off to a steady start in their chase, with Max O'Dowd (23) and Stephan Myburgh (29) adding 52 runs for the first wicket. However, they lost wickets at regular intervals and were eventually bowled out for 135 in 49.4 overs.

Taskin Ahmed was the pick of the Bangladesh bowlers, taking 4-25 from 9.4 overs. Shakib Al Hasan (2-18) and Mehidy Hasan Miraz (2-29) also chipped in with wickets.

Bangladesh's win keeps them in contention for a place in the semi-finals, while Netherlands are now out of the tournament.
